At the Raymond J. Christensen Foundation, we support independent documentary filmmakers on their journey to tell powerful stories.

We believe a filmmaker should be afforded every opportunity to explore, evolve, and develop their work. By awarding grants to support the filmmaking process, we help emerging artists share their stories and promote new human paradigms. The Raymond J. Christensen Foundation is committed to grants which assist in post-production and distribution.

Project Details

Project Title

Provide a brief summary of the story. Introduce character(s) and describe your narrative trajectory.

Provide a detailed outline of the project schedule, including pre-production, production, post-production and current status. (1,000 words or less).

Audience & Distribution

Describe the intended distribution for your film. Specify plans for festival, theatrical or community screenings as well as your plans for further securing broadcast and/or distribution. (500 words max).

Describe the audience you anticipate for your project, including any underserved audiences. Who is your intended audience? What is your relationship with and access to this community? If applicable, what actions do you hope for viewers to take after seeing your film? (250 words max).

Budget, Fundraising Strategy and Grant Impact

Specify budget allocation for pre-production (meetings, concepts, storyboards, insurance, planning, etc), production (crew resources, gear, travel, talent, location fees, etc), post-production (edit, animation, VO, audio, music, color, etc), marketing/distribution (festivals, screenings, showings, etc).(500 words max).

Describe your strategy for raising necessary funds to complete your project. List received/anticipated funds to-date (250 words max):
